Leary Studios embarked on an exciting journey to Hollywood to visit Red Studios, a renowned hub for video production utilizing cutting-edge Red cameras. The visit was an immersive experience, providing our team with invaluable insights into the intricacies of video production and the advanced capabilities of Red cameras. The highlight of our exploration was discovering the seamless workflow that Red Studios has perfected, allowing footage to be instantly captured into the cloud and ready for editing within moments. Witnessing this rapid and efficient process left our minds astounded, realizing the transformative potential it brings to the world of filmmaking.
Our time at Red Studios was not only educational but also filled with cool experiences on a Hollywood lot. The sessions delved into the technical aspects of shooting with Red cameras, focusing on optimizing the use of Red RAW files and mastering techniques to elevate the quality of our productions. On February 10th, 2021, Devin Leary, a film student, started his own video production company, Leary Studios. Devin had always been passionate about storytelling through film and had decided to pursue a different path from his family's legacy of farming Angus cattle. Starting in his dorm room with limited resources, he produced videos for local businesses and gradually built up a portfolio of high-quality work. Despite the challenges, Devin's dedication and hard work paid off and he was able to grow his business. Eventually, he graduated, moved to Minneapolis, and hired freelancers to help with the workload.
